Kawempe Muslim Secondary is a point away to the Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) Elite Games 2024 girls football trophy after their 3-1 win over rivals St. Noa Girls Secondary School-Zana.


The entertaining tie was held at Jinja SS Ground on a hot Friday afternoon.
Hadijjah Babirye (brace) and Shadia Nabirye were on target for Kawempe as they brightened their way to this edition’s crown.

Imelda Kasemire scored the lone consolation for St. Noa Girls Secondary School.
The win for Kawempe came after their 2-0 win over the second placed Boni Consili at Kakindu Stadium in Jinja City on Friday morning.


Shadia Nabirye scored a brace for Kawempe as they overcame the physically opposing Boni Consili.

The win takes Kawempe Muslim to 12 points in four games. They will need a point to win this year’s championship.
In earlier engagements St. Noa Girls Secondary School beat hosts Jinja SS by 3-0.

Evelyne Kansiime scored a brace and an own goal as St. Noa won the morning show.
Elsewhere, Bukedea Comprehensive School registered their first win in the tournament, beating St. Stephen Budondo .

Played in a round Robbin, Kawempe tops with 12 points, Boni Consili (9) while St. Noa Girls sit third on six points.
The tournament will climax on Saturday 27th January at Kakindu Stadium.
