After 13 years of closure, Buganda Kingdom’s historical and tourism site Kasubi Royal Tombs is finally operational and open to all tourists.
The reopening of the site was confirmed on Wednesday 11th September 2024 by……
Buganda Heritage and Tourism Board announced the fares to be paid by different categories of tourists willing to visit the Tombs.
Ugandan pupils will pay 3,000, students (5,000), adults (10,000), East African adults (20,000), East African children (15,000), African Adults (30,000), foreign resident adults ($10), foreign resident adults ($15), non foreign children ($15) and non foreign resident adults $20.
The UNESCO World Heritage Site in Kampala, Uganda, Kasubi Royal Tombs have been under construction for 13 years after being set to blaze by unknown individuals on 16th March 2010. Following the Buganda culture and traditional norms, the site was rebuilt and given a modern look.

Commonly known as Muzibwazaalampanga (Kasubi Royal Tombs), is the burial site to three Buganda Kings Sir Edward Muteesa I, Kabaka Mwanga II and Daudi Chwa II
