Uganda Youth Football Association (UYFA) U13 Chenga National championship has got underway with various games on the day one.

Luweero sub-region  champions Della Torre Football Academy are off the mark with a comfortable 2-0 win against hosts Mbarara Sports Academy at the ongoing Uganda Youth Football Association (UYFA) Chenga National championship.

Ezra Wafulab and Joshua Musinguzi were on target for Della Torre as they announced their presence in Mbarara.

The other day’s exciting ties was between Garuga Soccer Academy and U-15 National champions Kampala Galaxy.

Entebbe road giants Garuga won 2-0 to register a night start. Owen Nsubuga and Nicholas Sseguya netted for Garuga.

In a three goal thriller, Lions Soccer Academy beat Good Hope by 2-1 in a highly contested tie at the soggy surface of Mbarara High School grounds.

Custodian Martin Okeng entered records for his long range drop strike as Turique Johnson grabbed the other goal for Lions.

Through forward Johnson Akanushaba, Good Hope had their consolation of the evening duel.

Alfa Football Academy was the most scoring side on day one with a 5-0 riot against Excel Soccer Academy.

Henry Muhoozi scored a hat-trick to top the scorers chat while Kevin Muderere grabbed a brace.

Elsewhere, the tik-tak boys El Cambio registered a slim 1-0 loss to Misingi in the evening’s greatest entertainment.

Derrick Piriyo scored the only goal of the game as Misingi smiled home with maximum points.

In another game, Kawempe based Sokolo defeated Kick It Soccer Academy by 2-1.

Clever Ddamulira and Joram Kinene netted for Sokolo whilst Ssenkungu Paul got a consolation for Kick It.

The group stage game will continue tomorrow while girls football will also get underway in the morning.
